Last Monday, mom had an MRI and the results showed recurrence. We knew this was coming but hoped we'd have longer. She had her final oncology and palliative care appointments last week and hospice came on board on Thursday. They are now assisting us daily to keep mom comfortable in her final days. Words are hard right now. So I'll end this post with the beautiful words of Isaiah that mom treasured so deeply. "Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness." 41:10 "Sing, O heavens; and be joyful, O earth; and break forth into singing, O mountains: for the LORD hath comforted his people, and will have mercy upon his afflicted." 49:13
