The Tender Work of Caring for Mom

Please join us in  celebrating the GLORIOUS life of Patricia Dianne Barwick on Tuesday, January 7th at 11am at The Church of Jesus Christ  of Latter-day Saints Messina Meadows LDS chapel located at:  6575 S. Eagle Road, Meridian, ID 83642 We invite family and close friends traveling from out of town to join us for a family prayer prior to the service in the Relief Society room at 10:45 am. A luncheon will be provided by the Messina Meadows Relief Society for family and friends that have traveled from out of town directly following the celebration service in the gym beginning around noon.  There will be a mini birthday celebration program during the luncheon and an opportunity to write birthday cards to share a special memory of Patricia. We will be collecting all cards for a special memorial keepsake for the family to enjoy in the years to come. Several years ago, mom wanted a new display in her front yard for Christmas. Mark helped bring her idea to realization and so she has enjoyed a glorious star, a humble manger and two adoring hens as the main feature in her outdoor Christmas display. She loved to create beautiful things, and this display is certainly one of them. It represents so much about mom, her love and reverence for the Lord, her desire to follow and share His light and her love for gathering family and friends together like a hen gathers her chicks. We understand there were many who did not get the chance to visit mom before her passing. We appreciate your love and desire to visit mom and wish that everyone could have had a chance to see her once more.  Despite not being able to see everyone, Mark put up mom's outdoor display this year to share her love for her friends and her community in hopes that she will be remembered for the beautiful, vibrant, fun, full of life and generous person that she was. ...
